The St John Safe Program officially recognises sporting clubs that are ready for any first aid situation.

It is a way of identifying and communicating to members, parents and the public that you have the right first aid training, equipment and systems in place to deal with an emergency situation.

It is recognition that your sporting club has met their first aid obligations, and it is peace of mind for people knowing that they are in safe hands.

How does it work?

We will come out to your club and conduct a St John Safe Assessment.

Our first aid officer will compile detailed recommendations to assist you in becoming St John Safe.

We will work with you to create a bespoke package that may include:

First aid drillsFirst Aid Courses

A number of spots on relevant first aid courses for members of your club, assisting you in having an appropriate level of trained first aiders.

DefibrillatorsDefibrillators

Provision of defibrillators, making this potentially lifesaving device much more accessible. Included is training and regular servicing.

First aid kitsFirst Aid Kits

The appropriate number and type of first aid kits will be provided. Plus let us take over the responsibility for monitoring your kit levels through our restocking service.

First aid demonstrationsFirst Aid Demonstrations

A trainer will run first aid ‘refresher’ demonstrations with content that is tailored to your specific sports club.

How to gain your St John Safe Accreditation?

Once your St John Safe Assessment has been completed and appropriate training, equipment and systems have been implemented, your club will be considered St John Safe.

You will be presented a certificate to formally recognise your St John Safe endorsement.
